Dr. Geraldine O’Grady - violin (D.Mus, F.R.I.A.M. ,1er Prix Conservatoire National de Paris) Long established as Ireland’s leading solo violinist, Geraldine has been a musical ambassador for Ireland all over the world for many years. Geraldine has performed as soloist with many of the world’s major orchestras, and has toured extensively as a recitalist in Europe, the United States and South America. She has made numerous recordings and was honoured in recent years with a doctorate from the National University of Ireland and a Fellowship from the Royal Irish
Academy of Music.

Sheila O’Grady - violin (Dip. Mozarteum, Salzburg). Sheila studied with Jaroslav Vanećék and Jean Fournier and during her career has performed many times as soloist with orchestra. She has held principal positions in both the National Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of St Cecilia and was a founder member of the Irish
String Trio, with whom she played all over the country and in the United States. She founded the Junior String group in the R.I.A.M. where she taught for many years and her junior string group Téidi has also received great acclaim, at home and abroad. Sheila is presently conducting music appreciation courses for the South Dublin Adult Education Service.

Odhrán Ó Casaide - classical & traditional violin (G.R.N.C.M., PG Dip R.N.C.M., M.A.) Odhran is a Lecturer at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama where he teaches violin and runs the Irish Traditional Music programme.  Odhran studied violin at the Royal Northern College of Music with Yossi Zivoni and later in Vienna with Franz Samohyl. Odhran is a member of the well- known family group "Na Casaidigh", and has performed all over the world with them including as soloists with orchestra.  He is also an accomplished performer on the uileann pipes.

Oonagh Keogh - violin (M.A. A.G.S.M.) Oonagh studied in Paris and London, graduating from the Guildhall School of Music. A multiple prizewinner at home and in Paris, Oonagh has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician over the years. She is a member of the Irish Chamber Orchestra, and has toured internationally both with the orchestra and in a violin duo partnership with Geraldine O'Grady and performs regularly with pianist Conor Linehan. She wrote and presented her own series on Lyric fm ‘The Virtuoso Violin’ and has given a music appreciation course in the University of Limerick called ‘The Joy of Music’

Annette Cleary - cello (B.A., K.A., M.M. California) Annette Cleary studied with Paul Tortelier, Elenore Schoenfeld and Andre Navarra in Germany and the U.S. and was the winner of International competitions during her time there. She has performed as soloist with the major orchestras in Ireland and now performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician. She teaches cello at the RIAM in Dublin.

Lisa Grosman - viola (B.Mus. Sydney, M.A.) Originally from Sydney, Lisa Grosman came to Limerick in 1999 to study with the virtuoso violist Professor Bruno Giuranna at the Irish World Music Centre. After completing her Masters degree, Lisa continued her studies for a further two years at the Fondazione Walther Stauffer in Cremona. In 2001, Lisa joined the Irish Chamber Orchestra and with them has performed throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. She has also played regularly with the groundbreaking contemporary group the Crash Ensemble and is presently running the ICO's outreach programme 'Sing Out with Strings' which is bringing violin tuition to every pupil in three regeneration schools in Limerick.

Amy Coyne - Sean Nós dancing

Amy started dancing at age four doing traditional Irish step dancing. She then went on to study Ballet, Modern Jazz and Tap with The Corrib Dance Academy. In 2007 Amy was introduced to Sean-Nós dancing with international dancer Brian Cunningham appearing in Fuaim na Chunneagainai on their nationwide tour in 2008. Following this tour Amy began dancing with Irish Champion and International Dancer Emma O'Sullivan and subsequently formed her own dancing group Reel Mix with Emma and two Irish step dancers. Reel Mix opened the 2009 Clifden Arts Festival to a full house. They have gone on to dance at numerous festivals and venues throughout the country. Along with her busy performing schedule Amy enjoys passing on her love of the Sean Nos style through her teaching and recently received an invitation from Alexey Popov of Rhythm Of The Dance to travel to Moscow to give classes in Sean-Nós. Future plans include a tour with Rhythm Of The Dance

Tegolin Knowland - Drama

Tegolin trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama(B.A.hons) and at the Drama Studio where she received the Hillman Best Actress Award. On moving to Ireland she performed with the Druid Theatre Company and founded the 'Hob-Nailed Boots' theatre Company along with Sean Coyne in which they both perform. They perform specially devised historical plays and tour regularly with them at home and abroad.
Her company 'Tegolin's Tales' which specialises in masked fairy tale drama for children has become an institution in Renvyle during the summer months as children of all ages sit entranced in the Teach Ceoil week after week. Tegolin also teaches drama at schools in north Connemara and runs summer camps for children. This is her 2nd year participating in Ceol na Mara.
